Former associate Mickey Morrissey reminds him of his obligations in a medical malpractice suit that he himself served to Galvin on a silver platter: all parties willing to settle out of court. Blundering his way through the preliminaries, he suddenly realizes that perhaps after all the case should go to court: to punish the guilty, to get a decent settlement for his clients, and to restore his standing as a lawyer.

Watch A car is blown as it crosses the Mexican border into the United States. Mike Vargas, a high ranking Mexican narcotics official on honeymoon with his bride, is drawn into the investigation because a Mexican has been accused.  There's a sheriff named Hank Quinlan who is a fanatic where «justice» is concerned, even if obtaining it involves planting evidence. Quinlan's reputation for law and order enables him to bend the law without question until Vargas confronts him. From that point on, it's a battle of wits between the two that, with an accelerating pace, rushes to a climax.

Watch John Tunstall picks up young gun men from the road to have them work on his ranch, to teach them reading and to civilize them. However he's a thorn in the side of the rich rancher Murphy, as he's a competitor in selling cattle. Tunstall is shot by Murphy's men. Judge Wilson can't do anything, since Sheriff Brady is one of Murphy's men. An attorney, helps the youths becoming Deputies and give them warrants of arrest for the murderers.
