Abstract

This article is aimed at all readers interested in broadening their knowledge of e-commerce, in particular
the ethical and deontological issues faced by e-commerce management professionals when carrying out their duties. Its purpose is to present the concept of e-commerce and some of its characteristics, the role that the professionals in question have in a company, the ethical problems underlying the realisation of their activities and the code of ethics that they have to follow. The research carried out to obtain the data was based on the bibliographical method, mainly on scientific
articles, master’s dissertations and books. The study thus proves to be extremely important, as it highlights the ethical behaviours to be taken into account in order to achieve success for those working in the e-commerce sector, as well as those that should be avoided.
