The Book of Abstracts presents a comprehensive overview of the diverse academic contributions showcased at the III International Conference on Humanities and Social Sciences. With a central theme focused on the transformative role of Artificial Intelligence (AI) in shaping contemporary society, the volume compiles over 70 abstracts from global researchers across disciplines including education, law, social equity, linguistics, economics, culture, governance, and technology.

Keynote sessions set the tone with critical reflections on human-centered AI innovation, ethical frameworks, and linguistic adaptability in AI systems. These are followed by on-site and virtual presentations grouped into thematic clusters such as:

  • AI for Social Justice and Equity: Analyses range from the implications of AI on fundamental human rights and sustainable tourism to inclusive tax policies and the role of AI in the Global South. Legal, ethical, and governance perspectives are emphasized, particularly in developing country contexts.
  • AI in Education and Pedagogy: Contributions explore the integration of AI in classrooms, its impact on student writing, adaptive feedback systems, and the development of critical thinking. Both opportunities and challenges in enhancing teaching and learning practices through AI are interrogated.
  • Ethics, Governance, and Responsible AI: These sessions address algorithmic bias, opaque decision-making, digital sovereignty, and the growing influence of private AI actors. Discussions emphasize accountability, inclusive governance, and legal frameworks to ensure ethical AI use.
  • Cultural Diversity and Linguistics: Presentations investigate AI in translation, subtitling, and cross-cultural communication, offering insights into how generative AI tools handle linguistic nuance and cultural adaptation.
  • AI in Business, Information Systems, and Society: Topics include AI's role in organizational decision-making, digital commerce, HR management, public service transparency, and smart urban planning. Case studies span diverse geographic and institutional contexts.
  • Interdisciplinary Studies in AI and Humanity: Research in this section explores AI’s implications in auditing, law, public policy, and digital platforms, with a strong emphasis on sustainability, inclusion, and resilience.

The publication highlights emerging research frontiers, critical debates, and innovative applications of AI technologies within the broader domains of humanities and social sciences.

Collectively, these abstracts reflect a multidisciplinary effort to assess, challenge, and responsibly shape AI's evolving role in contemporary society.
