António Carrizo Moreira
António Carrizo Moreira
University of Aveiro

António Carrizo Moreira is an Associate Professor with Habilitation at DEGEIT, University of Aveiro, Portugal, where he has been lecturing courses in the following areas: international business, strategy, marketing, entrepreneurship, innovation, research methodologies, and statistics. António received his Master’s degree in management from the University of Porto, Portugal. He holds an MBA from Porto Business School. He holds a Ph.D. from the University of Manchester, England. António received scholarships from the Science and Technology Research National Board (JNICT) and the Science and Technology Foundation (FCT). He was Director of the Ph.D. in marketing and strategy, as well as the Ph.D. in business and economics. He has published in high-impact journals such as: International Journal of Consumer Studies; Supply Chain Management; International Journal of Project Management; Journal of Purchasing and Supply Management; and Journal of Consumer Behaviour.

Carlos Guimarães holds a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a Financial Management degree from ISCAP, Politécnico do Porto. Passionate about people, numbers, and fostering a collaborative environment, Carlos brings a contagious energy to every team he works with, motivating those around him to excel in their roles. Carlos joined adidas in 2009 as an accountant, when the Porto office was a small team of just 12 members. Over the years, he has played a pivotal role in its remarkable transformation. Today, the office has grown to over 900 employees, with Carlos at the heart of this evolution. Since 2016, as the leader of adidas Porto, and from January 2021 as VP for GBS Operations and Head Office of adidas Porto, he oversees a dynamic portfolio that now includes not only GBS but also TECH, Supply Chain Management, and Digital. Beyond his professional achievements, Carlos is known for his boundless enthusiasm and team spirit—and, of course, for being a devoted Star Wars fan!

Rita Marques
Rita Marques
Livraria Lello Foundation

Rita Marques is the President of Livraria Lello Foundation. She has been a business consultant, and a faculty member at Porto Business School, University of Porto. She is also an expert in the Just Transition Platform and Group Leader in the Harnessing Talent Platform, at the European Commission. Her main interests rely on Community Engagement and Social Well-being, Policy and Regulation, Innovation and Technology, and Entrepreneurship. Rita was the Secretary of State for Tourism, Commerce and Services in Portugal (2019-2022), period in which she was also a member of the Executive Committee of the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO). She was the CEO of Portugal Capital Ventures (2018-2019) and the President of the Fiscal Council at the Youth Foundation (up to 2018). She holds a MBA from the University of Southern California (2007) and a MSc in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the University of Porto (2000), besides several Executive and Advanced Programmes led by London Business School, IE, Texas Austin and Católica - Lisbon. Rita has been invited to join Beta Gamma Sigma and Phi Kappa Phi International Honor Societies (2007). In 2024, she was appointed as the President of the Strategic Council of the Better Tourism Lisbon (BTL) by the AIP Foundation. She won the Gold Medal by the Portuguese Association of Travel Agencies and Tourism (2022) and the Leadership Social Impact Award by the World Travel and Tourism Council (2021).

Anand Sheombar

UAS Utrecht (HU)

Anand Sheombar is an associate professor at the University of Applied Sciences Utrecht, The Netherlands, who explores the intersection of digital technologies and the societal impact of these technologies. Before moving to academia, he worked for over two decades in eHealth and ICT for higher education. His ongoing and recent projects cover topics such as Twin Transition (Digital + Sustainable Transformation) and Digital Development & Digital Rights in the Global South. His teaching duties cover research methods courses and thesis supervision at several master's studies, such as Master of Informatics, Master of Data-driven Business, and Master of Project Management.
