JOSEP MARIA BLANCH

Conference 1 - 6th April, 10:30

PhD in Psychology and Diploma in Social Sciences, he has been a professor at UAB (Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona) since 1976 and has been Professor with Tenure of Applied Social Psychology since 1992.

Taught doctoral and postgraduate courses and seminars in 30 universities in Latin America and 12 European universities. Worked as a professor contracted at UB (University of Barcelona), at the Faculties of Social Sciences and Social Service of the Instituto Superior ICESB and at the School of Police of Catalonia. He was Co-Promoter (in 1985) and President (since 1991) of the NGO Font Picant Foundation. He has worked as a consultant for government agencies in Barcelona, ??Catalonia, Spain, Europe and Latin America.

He leads the research groups PETRO (People who work in Organizations) and WONPUM (Working under New Public Management) and is part of the Brazilian research team GT ANPEPP Work and Health.

Has published several books, articles, chapters and technical reports on life quality at work, occupational health, psychosocial risks at work and new public management.

     

RUBEN LLOP

Conference 2 - 7th April, 11:00

Holds 3 doctoral degrees (Chemistry, Management and Philosophy), lectured at the most prestigious business schools in the world (IESE, INSEAD, Harvard, EADA, Stanford), and has now set up his own company, Blue Onion.

He is an exceptional communicator and has a visionary reading of business reality.

Although he has an extraordinary academic background, in his 55 years of age he perceives himself more as a professional and an entrepreneur in the service of the development of people, teams, organizations and communities.

 

     

 

MARIA ANTÓNIA TORRES

Round table - 7th April, 14:30

Maria Antónia Torres is Executive Member of the Board of Directors and Human Capital Leader of PwC Portugal, Angola and Cape Verde.

After a short experience in investment banking, she joined PwC in 1997 and is currently Partner of the Tax Department, specialized in M ??& A, and responsible for the tax department of the Porto office.

She holds a law degree from the Catholic University of Portugal, a post-graduate degree in Spanish Taxation from the University of Santiago de Compostela and an MBA in Management from the Portuguese Catholic University.

She collaborates with some business publications and is a frequent speaker at conferences and seminars in her fields of expertise. She teaches in some higher education institutions, namely in the Portuguese Catholic University.

She also has experience in developing soft skills training, especially in the field of ??leadership and coaching, participating as a tutor in PwC courses for partners from several countries.

Regarding Diversity, she works in the PwC Women project. She is also a board member of the Professional Women Network and a mentor in it's Womenship program and a member of the Connect to Success Program promoted by the US Embassy.

She lives in Porto, is married and is mother of two girls.

     

ANTÓNIO JOSÉ ALMEIDA

Sociologist, with a PhD in Sociology of Work, Employment and Organizations by ISCTE, has been since 1996 professor of the School of Business Sciences of the Polytechnic Institute of Setúbal where he is president of the Department of Organizational Behavior and Human Resources Management. He is also a researcher at CICE / ESCE and IE-UL.

During his professional career, he worked as a lecturer at the University of Beira Interior and at ISCTE. He was a researcher and vice-president of Dinâmia / ISCTE, served as an adviser to the Minister for Qualification and Employment and was the chairman of the ESCE-IPS Board of Directors and director of the bachelor degree in Human Resource Management and of the Master degree in Strategic Human Resources Management.

With research interests in the areas of Human Resources Management and Labor Sociology, Employment and Professions, he has participated in several research projects as well as in several national and international conferences. He has published several books, chapters, articles and technical reports on human resources management, labor market, education and training, labor relations and professions.

   
     
 

LUÍS CORREIA BOTELHO

Round table - 7th April, 14:30

Luis Correia Botelho, 59, Sociologist, is currently a professor at the School of Judicial Police.

He has held several positions in Public Administration, Human Resources, namely in the Judicial Police, Santa Maria Hospital, General Direction of Administration of Justice, and in the Institute of Information Technologies in Justice.

He was Deputy Director at the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Lisbon.

He is a Trainer in matters related to the management of People, having collaborated with several public bodies, namely INA, CEFA and Hospital Training Centers and General Directorates, and private, national and foreign entities.

Collaborates with the Autonomous University of Lisbon - business school.

He has been Auditor of National Defense since 2010.

He had previously served as Director of the APG between 1995 and 2000 and is now Vice President of the current Management.
