Emotional Intelligence in People Management

     ANA ISABEL LAGE FERREIRA

Using knowledge about how emotional intelligence can optimize people management is a requirement that is less and less dispensable for a Human Resource Manager.

In this workshop we will talk about how our emotional system works and how we can develop strategies that promote its better functioning; What happens to us when we experience negative emotions and what is the impact of a nonexistent or inadequate regulation of these negative emotions; How some emotional regulation strategies work and how we can use them in managing people.

"Emotions are like moles. If we plug one hole, they end up doing another one elsewhere. "
