Ana Margarida Silva, Gabriel Lourenço and Clara Sarmento, researchers at the Center for Intercultural Studies (CEI), have joined COST Action CA24170 – Building resilient rural communities through synergy of traditional knowledge and technological innovation (SMART-RURAL).
SMART-RURAL focuses on the challenges faced by European rural communities in the 21st century, including depopulation, economic stagnation, the impacts of climate change, and digital inequalities. The action proposes an integrated and innovative approach that combines traditional knowledge systems with contemporary technological solutions, with the aim of strengthening rural resilience and promoting sustainable development.
