New Project: Intercultural Insights

What does it really mean to be interculturally competent in today’s global world?

Developed at the Centre for Intercultural Studies (CEI) at ISCAP–P.Porto, Intercultural Insights connects theory with lived experience through a series of sharp, thought-provoking micro-interviews.

Grounded in the work of leading scholars such as Michael Byram and Darla Deardorff, the project brings together voices with international experience — from alumni of the Master’s in Intercultural Studies for Business to CEI collaborators — to reflect critically on how interculturality is understood and practiced across contexts.

The result? Concise, engaging conversations that challenge assumptions, bridge academic frameworks with real-world realities, and invite deeper reflection.

Led by Beatriz Martins (final-year student in Advisory and Translation at ISCAP), the project already features two interviews — alumni Sónia Erica Silva (Japan) and final-year student Guilherme Cavalcanti (Latvia) — with more on the way.
