CEI at the European Conference ‘Digital transformation for educational innovation and inclusion’, Thessaloniki, Greece.

CEI – Centre for Intercultural Studies was present at Aristotle University in Thessaloniki, Greece, for the European Conference ‘Digital transformation for educational innovation and inclusion’ and final meeting of the Erasmus+ KA 3 Project “AA – Assessing newly arrived migrants’ knowledge in Science and Math using augmented teaching material” [621517-EPP-1-2020-1-EL-EPPKA3-IPI-SOC-IN], on 2 and 3 November.

The communication “Good Practices from Portugal”, presented by Carina Cerqueira, CEI researcher and lecturer at ISCAP-P. PORTO, described the course of the project in Portugal, the specific practices applied and the excellent results obtained, with the aim of promoting dialogue and supporting the educational and scientific community for digital transformation and innovation in the field of education. CEI was also represented by junior researchers Ana Margarida Silva (PhD student in Cultural Studies) and Inês Pires (Master’s student in Intercultural Studies for Business).

The Augmented Assessment Project aims to bridge the gap in assessing the prior knowledge of newly arrived migrant students in the fields of science and maths, using augmented reality and immersive technologies.
