On December 17, the Intercultural Studies Centre (CEI) of ISCAP–P.Porto held a workshop at the Aurélia de Sousa School Cluster, in Porto, dedicated to the topic of the inclusion of migrant students, at the request of the cluster’s Intercultural Mediator, Dr. Filipa Soares. The session was delivered by CEI integrated researchers Isabelle Tulekian and Luísa Bravo Lamas and focused on the theme “The Role of Operational Assistants in the Inclusion of Migrant Students.”
“The Role of Operational Assistants in the Inclusion of Migrant Students” brought together Operational Assistants from across the entire school cluster, who demonstrated a high level of interest and engagement throughout the session.

The workshop highlighted the importance of Operational Assistants as essential educational agents in promoting an inclusive, safe, and intercultural school environment, reinforcing skills related to communication, empathy, and understanding of cultural diversity.
Today, December 18, 2025 — International Migrants Day — we reaffirm CEI’s ongoing commitment to the principles of inclusion, equity, and respect for cultural diversity, as essential pillars of quality education for all.
