Sara Rodrigues, a CEI researcher with a PhD in “Creativity and Social and Sustainable Innovation” from the University of Vigo and a Masters in “Intercultural Studies for Business” from ISCAP-P.PORTO, has been awarded a competitive Virtual Mobility (VM) Grant as part of her participation in the COST Action SHiFT – Social Sciences and Humanities for Transformation and Climate Resilience (CA21166).
This virtual mobility grant resulted in the development of the “YRC Youth Engagement Report”, a research-based document that identifies effective strategies, models, and partnerships for engaging young researchers across different sectors—particularly in sustainability-related fields—while showcasing best practices and offering actionable guidance for institutions, funders, and policy-makers.
Between August and September 2025, Sara Rodrigues conducted a comprehensive analysis, review, and presentation of key findings and information regarding the involvement of young researchers in industry, academia, governance, and decision-making processes. The aim was to inspire and guide the creation of inclusive, interdisciplinary, and impactful pathways for young researchers in sustainability and beyond.
Sara Rodrigues is also a member of the COST Action CA23117 CIRCUL’ARTs – Connecting Critical Pedagogies, Inclusive Art Forms and Alternative Barometers for Urban Sustainability.
