She has a PhD in Translation and Paratranslation from the University of Vigo, Spain; has an MA in Specialized Translation and Interpreting from ISCAP-P.Porto; has a degree in Specialized Translation and Interpreting from ISCAP-P.Porto. She is a member of the Scientific Board in the Centre for Intercultural Studies (CEI) of ISCAP-P.Porto; She is a researcher at the Centre for Intercultural Studies (CEI) and does research in the Translation Theory, Literary Translation, Gender Studies, Literary Studies – portuguese, brazilian, english, and north american literature, as well as cultural studies – and influences in translation studies fields. As an author, we can highlight the publications: Representar o «outro» segundo o pensamento antropofágico. Casos de estudo – ‘Hans Staden’ e ‘Les Maîtres Fous’ (2012); Macunaíma – o herói sem nenhum caráter – obra basilar brasileira segundo o olhar português (2013); The Golden Notebook – a análise como exercício de pré-tradução (2013); O ‘português’ na anedota brasileira: o outro somos nós – uma análise intercultural (2013); As viagens da obra de José Eduardo Agualusa – construção da memória intercultural (2014). 

She is a representative of the Centre for Intercultural Studies (CEI ISCAP-P.Porto) in international events. She was a keynote speaker at the ‘Managing Cultural Diversity’ seminar, on Global Education, in Remagen, Germany (November 24th – 26th 2017). 

Thesis advisor professor for the Masters degrees of ISCAP-P.Porto; examining jury for Masters thesis in ISCAP-P.Porto and the Fernando Pessoa University (Porto). She teaches Portuguese Language – iniciations course for non-speakers, integrated in the European Project Semester (EPS), of the Higher Institute of Engeneering of Porto (ISEP) (2010/2011).
