Talking about Cultural Studies – Inter-Multi-Trans-Pan-Anti-In-Disciplinary Studies
The launch of the e-book “Cultural Studies – Inter-Multi-Trans-Pan-Anti-In-Disciplinary Studies” took place on July 18, with the presence of Fernando Magalhães, Vice President of P.PORTO, Clara Sarmento, coordinator of the publication and Director of the Centre for Intercultural Studies, Maria Manuel Baptista from the Centre for Languages, Literatures and Cultures at the University of Aveiro, and Bruna Saadé Diniz, Master’s graduate in Intercultural Studies for Business, ISCAP-P.PORTO.
The Cultural Studies addressed in this volume challenge disciplinary boundaries that do little more than perpetuate power hierarchies and reproduce ideologically driven discourses about the vulnerability of the Social Sciences and Humanities.
These outdated disciplinary boundaries undermine the intellectual, political, and social capacity for action within Cultural Studies.
