Helēna Gizeleza, PhD (candidate)

Lecturer at the Department of Contrastive Linguistics, Translation and Interpreting, Faculty of Humanities, University of Latvia. Teaches several translation and interpreting courses to bachelor’s and master’s students.
MA in translation, PhD thesis on Latvian medical terminology.
Has been working as a translator and interpreter for 22 years, worked as in-house translator and a freelancer. Areas of specialisation: medicine, pharmaceuticals, veterinary medicine, clinical trials, legal, court interpreting.
Member of the Board of Latvian Association of Interpreters and Translators.
