In Do Texto ao Contexto – Novas Propostas Pedagógicas para a Tradução Técnica [From Text to Context – New Pedagogic Proposals for Technical Translation], the authors share the experience of their pedagogic practices, as a result of their long practice as translation teachers at ISCAP, the Accounting and Business School of P.PORTO, the Polytechnic of Porto. With twelve texts in four languages (English, French, German, and Spanish), followed by proposals of possible approaches that can be followed in the classroom, the book witnesses the multiplicity of paths available for reaching the pedagogic goals of higher education translation teaching. Framed in the scope of CEI’s (Centre for Intercultural Studies of ISCAP-P.PORTO) research, this book continues and completes the propositions described in Do Signo ao Texto [From Sign to Text] (2016), also published under the framework of this research centre.
