We welcome Professor Isabel Araújo to CEI’s team of researchers.

Isabel Araújo concluded her undergraduate studies in International Relations in 2002, at the University of Minho. During her undergraduate studies she received two merit scholarships from University of Minho for her academic achievement. She concluded the Master of Science (MSc) in Monetary, Banking and Financial Economics at that same institution in 2014. Her MSc dissertation “Gold as a Safe Haven” was supervised by Professors Cristina Amado and Fernando Alexandre.  In 2019, she concluded her PhD in Economics at the Faculty of Economics of University of Porto (FEP). Her dissertation “Skill Mismatches and Labor Market Outcomes” was supervised by Professor Anabela de Jesus Moreira Carneiro. In 2011 she joined the Polytechnic Institute of Cávado and Ave (IPCA) as a lecturer. In 2019 she taught Microeconomics at the School of Economics and Management of the University of Porto (FEP). 

In 2016 she joined he Polytechnic of Porto (ISCAP) and, in 2019, she also joined the University Lusíada of Porto (Faculdade de Ciências da Economia e da Empresa) as assistant professor.
