ISCAP-P.Porto and OSLOMET Strengthen International Cooperation with the Signing of an Academic Agreement

On June 8, 2026, ISCAP-P.Porto welcomed a visit from Prof. Kristin Bergaust, Vice President for Research, Development, and Innovation at the Faculty of Technology, Art, and Design (TKD) of Oslo Metropolitan University (OsloMet), Norway, culminating in the signing of a cooperation agreement between the two institutions.

The agreement was formalized between TKD-OsloMet, represented by Prof. Kristin Bergaust, and ISCAP/P.PORTO, represented by its President, Prof. Manuel Moreira da Silva, Ph.D.

This partnership stems from a shared interest in strengthening academic ties between Portugal and Norway by promoting international cooperation in the fields of research, innovation, and scientific development, within the framework of the ISCAP/P.PORTO Doctoral Program in Intercultural Studies for Innovation.

Following the signing of the agreement, Prof. Kristin Bergaust participated in a series of events organized by ISCAP’s Center for Intercultural Studies (CEI). The researcher visited the international exhibition “Art & Science within Ecologies of Relations,” part of COST Action SHIFT – Social Sciences and Humanities for Transformation and Climate Resilience, on display at the P.PORTO Cultural Center, where she is one of the most prominent featured artists.

On the same day, the OsloMet professor led a masterclass titled “Ocean Connections: Reflecting on a Transdisciplinary Art Project Employing Eco-Aesthetic Perspectives” for ISCAP’s Master’s program in Intercultural Studies for Business. In this session, she presented and discussed transdisciplinary approaches that integrate artistic practices, research, and ecological awareness, reflecting on the potential of eco-aesthetic perspectives to foster new forms of connection between communities, environments, and knowledge processes.
