About the Journal

The  Journal of Business and Legal Sciences is an international, open-access, peer-reviewed scientific publication that aims to be a forum for debating and promoting critical reflection on current issues in the world of work.

Founded in 2004 and affiliated with the Centre for Organizational and Social Studies (CEOS.PP), the RCEJ is a publication with a multi- and interdisciplinary approach to current issues concerning individuals, organizations, and society, with special emphasis on the social sciences.

The RCEJ aims to focus on intersectional and critical approaches discussing social and organizational dynamics (in the public sector, business sector, and the social and solidarity economy), solutions, strategies, and intervention models, which contribute to the construction of situated and critical knowledge in a global framework of interdependence.

The journal encourages researchers to publish their findings on topics related to the current challenges in labour relations (e.g., regulatory and segregation mechanisms in the labour market, professions, skills, legal and tax impacts, digital transformation, human resource management practices and development) from a comprehensive point of view, within a highly unstable social, political, and economic context.

Published annually, the RCEJ invites contributions from a wide range of backgrounds and scientific fields, including labour sciences, sociology, political science, international relations, legal sciences, communication and marketing, management, economics, psychology and social psychology, accounting, and human resources. Conceptual analyses, case law notes and commentary, and original empirical research are welcome.

Original and unpublished articles, written in Portuguese, English, or Spanish, should be uploaded onto the platform in an editable format. Please refer to the submission guidelines for further information.

Submitted papers will undergo a double-blind peer review process. Submission implies authorization for the publication of the text in digital format (via this open-access platform). Authors bear full responsibility for the content of their published articles.
