Virtual Tours in Porto

Igreja do Carmo (Carmo’s Church)

The Carmo church, a national heritage, is of Baroque-Rococo style. The church is dedicated to Santa Ana, mother of Mary, and opened to worship on July 24, 1768. The church is sister to all churches and, in particular, to the church of the Carmelites, next door, named so because it was of the Carmelite Fathers.

Igreja e Torre dos Clérigos (Clérigos Church and Tower)

The history of the Clérigos architectural ensemble is related to the Brotherhood of Clérigos, an association of the faithful that was founded in the early 18th century with the aim of aiding the clergy. The Torre dos Clérigos rises 75 meters high and was once the tallest building in the city. It has a carillon of 49 bells acquired in 1995.

Casa da Música (Music House)

Casa da Musica in Porto was designed by the architect Rem Koolhaas and was the symbol of "Porto Capital da Cultura 2001", taking 5 years to complete. It is the main concert hall in Porto, and its architecture has been internationally acclaimed as “the most attractive project that architect Rem Koolhaas has ever built” and as “a building whose intellectual ardor is combined with its sensual beauty”.
