International students choose ISCAP as their first contact with Portuguese education

ISCAP started the new academic year 2023/2024 with more than 200 international students, becoming the most international institution in the Polytechnic of Porto.

On the 18th of September 2023, Instituto Superior de Contabilidade e Administração do Porto (ISCAP) began the 2023/2024 academic year, welcoming more than 750 students of Portuguese nationality. However, international students also chose ISCAP as their first contact with Portuguese education.

At the beginning of this first semester alone, ISCAP has already welcomed around 50 international students and received more than 200 young people under the ERASMUS+ European mobility program.

In this regard, ISCAP has services to help these young people stay and integrate in Portugal, such as the International Relations Office (GRI), which manages cooperation and academic and professional exchange programs. In addition, national students also want to help their peers on this international adventure.

The Committee for International Students (COMAP) is a project made by and for young people, led by Portuguese ISCAP students, which aims to make the institution and Portuguese culture known to those landing in Portugal.

Considering the institution's increasing international reputation, it has become necessary to provide greater support and guidance for ERASMUS students, which is why COMAP organizes an annual integration week for these students - Orientation Week - designed to promote intercultural contact and dialogue through a wide range of fun and educational activities.

For more than two hundred students, this is their first contact with Portugal and Portuguese education. It is from this premise that ISCAP ensures close contact with all those who choose the institution as their second home, making it the most international school in the Polytechnic of Porto.
